Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort will make history when they coach opposite each other on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil. This will mark the first international season of the show.
The two, who will square off later this year in a show slated for Brazil, announced who they have selected to coach alongside them in recent interviews with Tatame.com.
For Silva, the “Axe Murderer” is going with Rafael Cordeiro, Fabricio Werdum, Renato Babalu and Andre Amade. Werdum, who has a fight with Roy Nelson set for this Saturday at UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit, said, “The Brazilians are the best in the world. They really want to win. I’m excited.”
Belfort, fresh off a victory over Anthony Johnson at UFC 142, will go with Rodrigo Artilheiro, Francisco Filho, Luiz Carlos Dorea and Gilbert Burns.
TUF: Brazil will feature lightweights and middleweights. The show will be broadcast on FUEL TV in the U.S. and on Globo in Brazil.
