Former heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko is back on track after defeating Jeff Monson and Satoshi Ishii, snapping out of a three-fight losing skid. Now, “The Last Emperor” is looking to return to action this summer, according to M-1 Global director of operations, Evgeni Kogan.
Rumors of Fedor’s opponent have centered on ex-WWE superstar Bobby Lashley. Kogan, however, said those are just rumors as of now.
“There are currently no concrete conversations about Bobby being the next opponent for Fedor,” said Kogan, in a recent interview with USAToday.com.
Kogan mentioned Monaco and Russia as possible locations for Emelianenko’s next fight, adding that the former Strikeforce competitor hopes to fight two or three times in 2012.
