UFC president Dana White was very vocal on the subjects of Melvin Guillard and a possible Chael Sonnen-Anderson Silva fight during an interview for FUEL TV’s website Friday night after UFC on FX: Guillard vs. Miller. In the main event, Jim Miller submitted Melvin Guillard via rear-naked choke.
Along with discussing his confusion on why Guillard seems to not take his fight game serious, White also cleared up any notion of Sonnen not fighting Silva for the UFC middleweight title if he defeats Michael Bisping at UFC on FOX 2 next Saturday night.
“I, 100 percent right here, now, guarantee that if Chael Sonnen wins that fight, Anderson Silva will fight Chael Sonnen this summer,” White said.
Earlier this week, Sonnen said he would never fight Silva again, instead taking a match with either UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones or injured UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre.
