“UFC 142: Aldo vs. Mendes” goes down this Saturday night at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, marking the promotion’s first event of the year and third ever in the South American country. At the top of the fight card, UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will welcome challenger Chad Mendes to his backyard and in the co-main event, native Brazilian Vitor Belfort will meet Anthony “Rumble” Johnson in his middleweight debut.
Today, all fighters competing on the card tipped the scales in Rio and all made weight for their respective bouts with the exception of Anthony Johnson, who weighed in eleven pounds above the middleweight limit and will now only face Belfort if he weighs in again tomorrow at 205lbs.
