UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is likely to find out the next contender to his title later this month, as Chael Sonnen and Mark Munoz are scheduled to meet at UFC on FOX 2. For now, Silva is just working on getting his conditioning back after having work done on his shoulder.
“Anderson’s shoulder is doing very well. He did a great job these past months and is doing well,” Angela Cortez, a physiotherapist said, in a recent interview with Globo Sport TV. “He’s well, he feels no more pain and is back in training. Now he only needs to improve on his physical condition. He’s 100 percent. I believe he’ll be announcing his next fight soon enough.”
“The Spider” has been out of action since a victory over Yushin Okami this past summer. He has been involved in several verbal wars, however, with Sonnen since he earned a submission victory over his nemesis in 2010.
For further proof that Silva is back working out, Tatame.com has posted pictures of him during a training session with the likes of Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Rafael Cavalcante and Erick Silva at the X-Gym in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
