A Brazilian and an Afghan will help the UFC usher in its debut in Sweden, as Paulo Thiago has signed to fight Siyar Bahadurzada at UFC on FUEL TV 2, according to a report by MMAWeekly.com.
The event takes place on April 14 from Stockholm, Sweden, as the UFC continues to reach out internationally. It was not made known where the Thiago-Bahadurzada bout would take place on the card, though a main card spot is likely.
Thiago (14-3) was slated to face Mike Pyle at the upcoming UFC 142 pay-per-view in Brazil, but was forced out with an elbow injury. He won his last fight, defeating David Mitchell.
As for Bahadurzada, he will be making his UFC debut against Thiago. Bahadurzada carries a 20-4-1 record into action, with the majority of his fights having taken place in Holland and Japan. He was set to debut against Erick Silva at the same UFC 142 card, but was pulled with an injury of his own.
