Antonio Rogerio Nogueira sees his brother, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, every day. So, when Rogerio Nogueira says “Minotauro” will be back soon, you better believe it.
While talking with Tatame.com, “Lil” Nog revealed that his bigger brother could be back inside the Octagon as early as the middle of 2012 after suffering a broken arm at the hands of Frank Mir in December at UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida.
“The prediction is that he comes back in March, and he will be ready to fight in the middle of the year,” Nogueira said. “He was in pain for a while, like a week, and he couldn’t do much because of the stitches. But now he’s doing physiotherapy, moving his arm, pressuring the ball. He’s regaining all his moves.”
Rodrigo Nogueira had several screws and a plate placed in his arm to heal the injury after Mir caused the bone to snap. The loss was the first submission defeat of his career. Rogerio Nogueira defeated Tito Ortiz on the same card, keeping his UFC career afloat after a pair of losses to Phil Davis and Ryan Bader.
