When asked to breakdown the upcoming Alistair Overeem – Brock Lesnar heavyweight battle, Fabricio Werdum will admit that he’s biased.
Werdum and Overeem have fought twice, going 1-1 and with Overeem winning their most recent tilt. Werdum recently told FightHubTV that he wants to see Overeem remain victorious so that he can have another shot at him, but that he’s picking Overeem based on his skills and not just out of his own desire for a rubber match.
“I think (Overeem will win),” Werdum predicted. “He has good stand up, good takedown defense,. I think he can win via knockout… via knee knockout definitely.”
Recently re-added to the UFC roster, Werdum is set to face Roy Nelson at UFC 143 this February 4. Overeem and Lesnar are set to throw down this Friday, December 30, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
