During UFC president Dana White’s first video blog for UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem, we see Krzystof Soszynski being looked over by the medical team following his devastating knockout loss at UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida earlier this month.
Soszynski, who suffered the KO loss at the hands of Igor Pokrajac, announces his retirement from MMA to his close friend and training partner Mark Munoz, along with those standing around him.
“That was my last MMA fight, I am done,” Soszynski said during the vlog, which can be viewed here. “It’s a shi**y way to go out.”
“The Polish Experiment” had won his previous two fights, but was forced to battle back from knee surgery just to face Pokrajac. Munoz can be heard telling Soszynski, “Don’t apologize,” for the way the fight ended.
Soszynski ends his MMA career with a record of 26-12-1 if the retirement decision ends up holding strong for the 34-year-old.
