Nate Diaz Predicts Cowboy Will Be In Trouble When He Can’t Find KO

UFC lightweights Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone will do battle this coming Friday, December 30, in what promises to be a barnburner.

Meeting in the co-main event of UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem, both Cerrone and Diaz are known for their all-around technical proficiency, relentlessness and for being downright mean in the cage. Both men thrive on competition and neither will be giving an inch on fight night. And even though they clearly share respect for each other, don’t expect it to look like it once the cage door shuts.

With Cerrone looking to continue his hot streak and prove that you don’t have to be from Stockton to be tough, Diaz is confident that he beats Cowboy in every aspect of the game and believes his opponent will be in for a long night when he can’t score the knockout he’s looking for.

“He’s definitely a guy that likes to fight, he comes forward. I think I’m better than him everywhere, honestly,” Diaz says. “He better knock me out. If not, he’s gonna be in trouble.”

UFC 141 goes down on Friday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Check out an extended preview for the event below, and don’t forget to visit back on FightLine for our live, ongoing coverage of the event.
