The UFC has added two welterweight bouts that are likely slated for the preliminary card for UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit, which goes down February 4 from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Matt Brown will meet Chris Cope, while Justin Edwards tangles with Mike Stumpf. The headliner for UFC 143 is another welterweight contest, as Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit battle for the interim UFC title.
Brown (12-11) is just 1-4 in his last five fights, but scored a submission victory this past November over Seth Baczynski. Cope, a fellow Ultimate Fighter veteran like Brown, holds a 5-2 mark but lost to Che Mills earlier this year.
Edwards (7-2) defeated Jorge Lopez this past September, but lost his other two UFC bouts during the year. Stumpf is 11-3 and will be looking to rebound from a loss to T.J. Waldburger in his UFC debut.
