Brock Lesnar hasn’t fought in over a year, but the former UFC heavyweight champion is still one of the most recognizable faces in MMA. Lesnar, who has an upcoming bout with Alistair Overeem just over a week away, signed an exclusive contract with Everlast to promote their combat sports equipment.
“Brock Lesnar’s combination of size, athleticism and elite wrestling ability is truly unmatched,” Everlast VP of Marketing and Products Matt Cowan said. “His strength, determination and individuality make him resonate with our brand ethos, and we are excited to welcome Brock to our storied family of champions.”
Lesnar and Overeem will tangle on December 30 at UFC 141 for a shot at UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos in 2012. The pay-per-view card goes down from Las Vegas, Nevada on a special Friday evening.
“I’m truly excited to be a part of the Everlast family,” Lesnar said. “Everlast’s MMA training equipment is the best in the industry. I’ve been able to take my training to a new level since installing their 30-foot competition cage at my DeathClutch gym. I look forward to a long and rewarding partnership with Everlast.”
