USA Today has reported that, as part of the UFC’s seven-year broadcasting deal with Fox networks, FUEL TV will begin carrying a weekly news show titled UFC Tonight.
The show will be hosted by ESPN and Versus play-by-play man Todd Harris and co-hosted by longtime UFC competitor Kenny “Ken-Flo” Florian. The two will carry prior MMA broadcasting experience onto the program, as Harris used to call WEC fights on Versus and Florian is a regular panel member on ESPN’s MMA Live.
Fox Sports staple and avid MMA fan Jay Glazer will also contribute segments for the show each week, as will MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani, who will provide behind-the-scenes interviews and report news live from UFC events.
FUEL TV executive vice president and general manager George Greenberg called the show “the official vessel” for UFC news and info.
The show will air weekly for the first six months, but could be carried several times a week to daily should the network like what they see.
UFC Tonight will debut on January 3, 2012, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
