UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida went down last Saturday night at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Consumer Services has released the medical suspension information for the fight card.

Seven fighters who competed on the card were given sixty day suspensions, including main card battlers Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Tito Ortiz. Nogueira was given a mandatory sixty days for his submission loss to Frank Mir, which left his right humerus completely broken, and will need clearance from an orthopedic surgeon before he can return to action. Ortiz was given the sixty-day suspension for his TKO loss to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and must undergo a chest x-ray and abdominal ultrasound before returning to action.

Mark Hominick, Krzysztof Soszynski, Jared Hamman, Rich Attonito and Mitch Clarke were all given sixty-day suspensions for suffering either KO or TKO losses on the card and must all pass an MRI or CT scan before returning to the cage.

Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida took home a thirty-day suspension for the cut he suffered over his right eye during his championship battle with Jon Jones.

All other fighters who competed on the card were given fourteen-day suspensions for precautionary reasons.
