The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale is now well in the books, concluding the show’s multi-season run on SpikeTV and crowning the series’ first ever bantamweight and featherweight finalists.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has now released the attendance and gate information for the event, which took place at the Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas on December 3.
The NSAC revealed that the event drew 1,909 total spectators to the small arena. 1,348 of those spectators paid their way in, while 561 gained entry with complimentary tickets; 233 tickets remained unsold.
The paid-for tickets amounted for a gate of $452,700.
Greg Jackson-trained bantamweight John Dodson defeated Team Alpha Male’s TJ Dillashaw via first-round TKO to become the first 135lbs. winner of The Ultimate Fighter, while his Greg Jackson teammate Diego Brandao showed he can do more than just swat by tapping out Dennis Bermudez with an armbar in the first round.
TUF 14 coaches Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller squared off at the top of the card, with Bisping rallying from a tough first round to take out Miller by third-round TKO.
