UFC 140: Tito Ortiz Vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira

Lil’ Nog showing some hip hop savvy, walking out to Redman & Method Man’s “Da Rockwilder.” Ortiz makes his way to the Octagon to Eminem as usual, this time “Cinderella Man.”

Round 1: No glove touch between these two, they’re looking to work. Ortiz wading in, clapping Nogueira with solid punches. Nogueira hanging in the pocket and countering. Ortiz drops for the takedown and Lil Nog defends. Ortiz keeping him against the cage, throwing knees while Nog comes back with elbows. Ortiz pulling a Randy Couture and dirty boxing well. Lil Nog is firing back with some nice shots himself, and lands a hard uppercut inside that might have stunned Ortiz. Lil Nog cracks Ortiz with a hard left hand on the break and then swarms him. Ortiz is defending well, but he gets hit with a knee to the body that buckles him. Lil Nog is on top of him dropping punches, but Ortiz manages to recover full guard. Ortiz working a high guard now, seeming to have recovered some. The crowd chants, “Tito!” Lil Nog is pouring it on though, throwing shot after shot, but Ortiz is covering up his head well. However, he can’t do much more than cover up and Lil Nog starts to hammer away at his body. After absorbing some vicious body punches, the ref has seen enough and calls the bout.

Ortiz is wincing and clutching the left side of his body.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira defeated Tito Ortiz via TKO (strikes) at 3:15 of round 1

Lil Nog calls the win a “dream come true” and gives props to his fallen opponent.

Ortiz says that Lil Nog hit him in the same spot that Rashad Evans did and he tried to fight through it, but the repeated abuse to the body took it out of him. Ortiz says that he wants to fill out the last fight on his contract and then retire, he hopes that the UFC will let him do it.
