Josh Koscheck lost his opponent for UFC 143 when UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre pulled out of a planned bout with Nick Diaz. Now, Koscheck’s original opponent, Carlos Condit, will face Diaz for the interim title while GSP works his way back from a knee injury.
As for Koscheck, he says that he will still compete on February 4 at UFC 143, though an opponent has yet to be signed.
“I am fighting Feb. 4th still I’ll tweet who very soon. I just asked UFC if I can fight 185 for a fight! But we will see if they let me,” wrote Koscheck on his Twitter account.
As for the Diaz-Condit fight for the interim title, with the winner facing St-Pierre either late in 2011 or early in 2012, Koscheck wrote, “Oh well (expletive) happens so I’ll get 2 fight the winner! (Expletive) it. Then I’ll fight GSP 4 the real belt. Boom.”
