Strikeforce has added three preliminary card bouts to the December 17 Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal card. The main card, which features a lightweight championship match between Gilbert Melendez and Jorge Masvidal, will be seen on Showtime. It is unknown if the prelims will be broadcast on HDNet at this time.
Signed to those prelims are bouts featuring Caros Fodor and Justin Wilcox, Roger Bowling and Jerron Peoples, and Devin Cole vs. Gabriel Salinas-Jones.
Fodor is 6-1, including four straight victories, while Wilcox is 11-3 overall and 5-1 in his last six. Wilcox had a no contest with Gesias Cavalcante in his last bout after an accidental eye poke ended the fight in the second round.
Bowling improved to 9-2 with a victory over Bobby Voekler in July, while Peoples (4-1) has been out of action since making his Strikeforce debut in June. Cole holds a record of 19-9-1, with losses to Aaron Rosa and Daniel Cormier on his resume. Salinas-Jones made his Strikeforce debut in July with a submission over Bryan Humes to improve to 5-0-1 in his career.
