Dan Henderson has made is known that he would like another shot at UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Henderson, while Tweeting following this past Saturday’s Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale main event between Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller, made some choice remarks about Silva, Bisping and Miller.
“Looked like one guy hadn’t fought in a long time & the other guy cut too much weight. Kinda like the JV team. Not hating,” Henderson wrote on his Twitter account. “Just not a great night for either guy – weren’t there physically so they looked more like TUF cast than coaches. All the ‘injuries’ that keep Anderson from a rematch w/me or Chael (Sonnen) will heal real fast if they offer Bisping to him.”
“The Spider” is currently on the sidelines until 2012 due to a shoulder injury. Sonnen has tried to force his way into a rematch with Silva, but will instead face Mark Munoz in a title-eliminator bout.
As for Henderson, he lost to Silva back in 2008 via second round submission. UFC president Dana White has said “Hendo” could challenge for either the UFC light heavyweight or middleweight title following his decision victory over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua earlier this year.
