UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has come off a little upset about the way Chael Sonnen has went about trying to secure a rematch for his title. However, “The Spider” now believes that Sonnen is nothing more than another fighter trying to wrestle away what is rightfully his.
“I’m in the UFC for fights,” said Silva, in a recent interview with MMAWeekly.com. “Chael, Mark Munoz, Vitor Belfort, Brian Stann, Chris Leben, I’m staying here for fight. This is my work. It’s my life.”
When asked what Sonnen meant to him, Silva responded by saying, “Nothing.” Silva earned a submission victory over Sonnen last year.
Nothing has been confirmed for either Silva or Sonnen’s immediate fight future. Rumors of a potential Sonnen bout with the winner of Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller have been discussed, along with a meeting against Munoz.
