Ultimate Fighter veteran Eliot Marshall has confirmed his release from the UFC, according to his Twitter account. Marshall was in the midst of his second stint with the UFC.
“Well, it’s officlal,” Marshall wrote. “I have been released by the UFC.”
Marshall (10-4) was on The Ultimate Fighter 8, where he was defeated by eventual winner Ryan Bader. He rejoined the UFC for a bout with Luiz Cane, but was stopped by TKO. A loss to Brandon Vera forced the UFC’s hand in releasing Marshall.
After his first release from the UFC, Marshall won three consecutive fights. He is 6-3 in his last nine bouts overall.
