Strikeforce seems to be conducting business as usual, despite reports of its end coming in the near future. The organization is planning a fight card for 2012, and has signed Bobby Voelker to five-fight extension, according to Voelker’s management team, Elite MMA.
“This will be a great opportunity for Bobby Voelker to continue his career with a great company,” said a statement on Elite’s MMA’s website Wednesday. “He is looking to make his way through the welterweight ranks to get a shot at the welterweight title.”
Voelker has competed in the Strikeforce Challengers series since 2009, holding a 4-1 record during that time. He is 24-8 in his career, including 15 victories via knockout.
