Jason “Mayhem” Miller has been frequently updating his personal website recently, keeping his fans informed of how well prepared he is for his upcoming fight with Michael Bisping (more prepared than he’s ever been for any fight, by his estimation) and giving some insight into his mindset during the week of the fight. Interestingly, in one of his entries, Miller alleges that he is being fed information from his opponent’s camp, even though he’s not looking for it.
“I just want everyone to understand how fricken hard I am training. I have never trained this hard or smart for a fight in my life,” wrote Miller. “In ironic twist news- I’m totally getting reimbursed for John Dodson’s insubordination. I’m not even asking about Michael’s training, but for some reason all the friends that I’ve had for years that are working with him seem to be inclined to tell me about his camp and what he’s doing. I don’t want or need this info, I’m going to beat him regardless, just found it interesting. Pretty karmic.”
Bisping has of course gotten wind of Mayhem’s comments and, during the most recent episode of Inside MMA, he addressed them, brushing them off as nothing more than an attempt by Mayhem to get inside his head.
“I know for a fact that none of them have been divulging secrets,” Bisping said of his camp. “I think this is a sign of Jason [being] a little bit nervous [about] the impending doom that is coming his way this coming weekend and he’s trying to unsettle my camp. I think he’s looking at the ‘Rampage’ spygate thing and trying to jump on that bandwagon. Good luck, Jason. Good try, but better luck next time.”
Opposing coaches on the current season of The Ultimate Fighter, Bisping and Miller will square off at the show’s finale this Saturday night at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Check out a video of Bisping on Inside MMA below.
