The California State Athletic Commission has released the drug test results from Saturday night’s UFC 139: Shogun vs. Henderson fight card (props to MMAJunkie), revealing that all of the fighters who competed tested clean for drugs of abuse.
All twenty-four fighters who fought on the card were tested for drugs of abuse/recreational drugs and they all returned negative results. The drug test results for performance enhancing drugs have not yet been released, but MMAJunkie reports that they will be in about two weeks.
UFC 139 played host to what many are calling the greatest MMA fight ever: a five-round epic battle between Pride Fighting Championships veterans Dan Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua that rolled back and forth and ended with Dan Henderson being declared the winner via unanimous decision.
UFC 139: Shogun vs. Henderson went down last Saturday, November 19, from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. For full results and a recap of the event, click here.
