The rumors of a Quinton “Rampage” Jackson-Stephan Bonnar fight for UFC 144 in Japan will not come to fruition, according to Jackson’s recent Twitter remarks.
“It don’t look like I’m fighting (in) Japan which I’m not happy about at all, I think it’s a big mistake by the UFC… (expletive) it,” Jackson wrote.
Bonnar, who recently defeated Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 139, was pushing for a match with the former UFC light heavyweight champion. Jackson was hoping to be on the Japan card due to his rise in PRIDE while coming up in MMA.
UFC 144 is set for February 25 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will defend his title against Benson Henderson in the main event.
