The first bout of the evening takes place at a catchweight of 158lbs., as a result of Bailey’s inability to make the lightweight limit.
Round 1: Castillo throws a kick and slips, but recovers quickly and takes Bailey down when he rushes in to capitalize. Bailey isn’t held down long though, he fights to his feet. Castillo keeping him grated against the fence, he lifts Bailey high and dumps him to the mat. Bailey gets up, but Castillo picks him up over his shoulder again, this time with more emphasis and away from the cage. Castillo riding top position, in half guard. Two minutes to go and Bailey is just holding on. Castillo makes space and puts some hands on Bailey. Castillo working ground and pound while trying to improve position. Castillo is starting to wail on Bailey, then takes mount. Bailey escapes, but Castillo is still on top of him, pounding away. Bailey is warned that the stoppage is coming and when he turns over the ref waves it off.

Castillo says he felt disrespected at the weigh-ins, calling Bailey unprofessional for missing weight.
