Round 1: No glove touch between these two welterweights. Brown gets tagged by a right hand counter as he tries to slip in behind a pair of jabs. Baczynski closes the gap and presses Brown into the fence, Brown defends the takedown and fires off a knee. Brown landing some good knees to the breadbasket and Baczynski answers with an elbow. Baczynski launches a volley but Brown avoids it. Baczynski is all over him though and dumps him to the canvas. Brown sweeps beautifully after a bit, but Baczynski stays active and gets to his feet quickly. Brown goes well to the body and Baczynski returns with a good left. Brown grabs the plum on the fence and gets in a few knees. Thirty to go and it sounded like Baczynski landed a knee to the cup. Brown briefly grabs the plum again and gets off a few knees. They separate and Brown moves forward with some punches. Baczynski grabs a standing guillotine and throws a few knees before the bell.

Round 2: Brown lands a nice leg kick and then answers Baczynski’s takedown attempt with one of his own. Baczynski grabs the guillotine on the way down, it’s very tight. Brown struggles to hang in there for what seems like forever, but Baczynski cranks on it longer than he can hold out and Brown is forced to tap.

Baczynski is very happy with his win over Brown, whom he describes as a “super gnarly dude.” He expected it to be a much uglier fight.
