Lumumba Sayers and Ronda Rousey made statements Friday night at Strikeforce Challengers 20, scoring victories in under 40 seconds in the two featured fights of the night. Strikeforce Challengers 20 took place from The Pearl at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas.
Sayers knocked out Antwain Britt in the middleweight main event in 28 seconds, scoring with a series of hooks that dropped Britt. Sayers is now 5-2 in his career and 1-1 in Strikeforce, while Britt falls to 11-6 overall and has won just one bout for the organization.
Rousey (4-0) locked in an arm bar just 39 seconds into her fight with Julia Budd, and said afterwards she will drop to 135 pounds and issued a challenge to Sarah Kaufman and Miesha Tate to meet her inside the cage.
