Just when you think Michael Bisping is only concerned with himself, he goes and proves you wrong. Bisping, who can currently be seen as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter opposite Jason “Mayhem” Miller, was asked who he feels like will win this Saturday’s UFC 139 main event between Dan Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
“Everyone knows what happened with me and Henderson. So I always root for Henderson because it makes me look better,” said Bisping, in a recent interview with Middle Easy. “It redeems me slightly if he continues to knock people out. That said, you can never rule out ‘Shogun.’ The guy’s a beast. It’s going to be a great fight, but I’m leaning towards Henderson.”
Bisping was knocked out by Henderson after the two were opposing coaches on TUF at UFC 100 in 2009. “The Count” has gone 4-1 since that loss, including wins over Yoshihiro Akiyama and Dan Miller. Bisping is scheduled to face Miller in December.
