Greg Jackson On Clay Guida: “He Gets Counted Out Of Every Fight”

Trainer Greg Jackson appeared on Sherdog Radio’s Savage Dog Show recently to discuss tonight’s Clay Guida-Ben Henderson lightweight contest at UFC on FOX 1: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos. The bout will determine who meets UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar next year in Japan for the title.

Guida-Henderson will be the co-main event of the evening, appearing on Facebook and FightLine will have complete coverage of the entire event, including ongoing play-by-play of all the fights.

Guida joined Jackson’s camp in New Mexico and has found himself on a four-fight win streak since a pair of losses to Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez. Henderson is a former WEC champion who defeated Jim Miller in his last UFC fight.

“Ben Henderson is a phenomenal, amazing fighter and one of the most underrated 155ers in the world right now. Nobody gives him his due, and they should because he’s very, very good,” Jackson said. “The great thing about Clay is he gets counted out of every fight. Every fight I give almost this exact same interview. Everybody’s like, ‘Well, he’s tough, but…’ and then he wins and he wins and he wins and he wins. I hope we can do it again because he’s been on a great streak since he joined our camp.”
