The ratings are in for the eighth installment of The Ultimate Fighter 14, with MMAJunkie reporting that the drama-heavy episode scoring an overall rating of 1.1; in the sought-after 18-34 male age group, the show pulled in a rating of 1.81, and a 1.37 among men ages 18-49.
Viewership for the episode was slightly below average, drawing an audience of 1.4 million compared to the season high of 1.6 million.
The fourteenth installment of The Ultimate Fighter features colorful middleweight fighters Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller helming teams of bantamweight and featherweight UFC hopefuls as they vie for a UFC contract.
Currently, Team Mayhem is slightly ahead of Team Bisping in terms of fighters left standing, with four fighters from his team competing in the semi-finals to Bisping’s two and one already having advanced to the finals by defeating a Team Bisping fighter.
This season of The Ultimate Fighter will be the last to air on SpikeTV, as all future runs of the show will be shown live with a new format on FX through the UFC’s recent deal with Fox networks.
