Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will be part of this Saturday’s UFC on FOX: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos event, as the ex-WWE superstar serves as an analyst.
Lesnar is scheduled to face Alistair Overeem in the main event of UFC 141 in December, with the winner becoming the No. 1 contender to either current UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez or Junior dos Santos, who meet in the main event of the hour-long show Saturday night.
Lesnar lost the title to Velasquez last year, and was paired with dos Santos on The Ultimate Fighter as coaches. Lesnar was forced out of a bout with dos Santos due to a second bout with diverticulitis. He will be returning to the Octagon for the first time since his loss to Velasquez last October.
“His opinion is interesting,” said UFC President Dana White, during the pre-fight press conference this week. “This show is going to focus on the heavyweights and the heavyweight championship.”
