Leon Roberts referees the co-main event of the evening, taking place in the bantamweight division.
Round 1: They touch gloves and Pickett starts winging punches; Barao isn’t backing down an inch though and stays right in the pocket tagging Pickett with punches and kicks. Pickett touches Barao, but Barao digs in and fires right back. These two are throwing down, the crowd chanting Pickett’s name. Pickett scores with a lead left hook. Pickett sprawls out of a takedown and whiffs on a hard overhand right. Barao with a hard left hook. A front kick. Barao sticks the jab. Barao is countering well as Pickett pushes forward. They trade from the pocket, both men landing but Barao getting the better of it. Barao puts together a nice combo, then nails Pickett with a hard knee. A volley of punches follows and drops Pickett to the mat. Barao follows, as do more punches from the Brazilian. Barao takes his back deftly and looks for the choke. He cranks on it for several long moments before Pickett taps.
