Fox will be airing UFC on Fox 1 ahead of their broadcasting deal start date with the UFC in January and will apparently be showcasing UFC programming on their other networks ahead of schedule as well; UFC president Dana White today announced that Fuel TV will be carrying the UFC on Fox 1 weigh-ins live the day before the show.
White revealed during today’s media conference call for their impending Fox debut that the UFC on Fox 1 weigh-ins will air on Fuel TV at 4pm PT/7pm ET on November 11.
The UFC recently inked a seven-year, multi-channel deal with Fox networks that will see UFC-related programming broadcast on Fox as well as on FX and Fuel TV.
The promotion will be offering a heavyweight title contest between champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Junior dos Santos for their Fox debut, a sure-to-be exciting battle that will be supported by a nine-fight preliminary card to be broadcast on Facebook and Fox.com. The main event will be the focus of an hour-long special on Fox, regardless of whether the fight lasts 25-minutes or ten seconds, according to White.
The fight will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on November 12. FightLine will be back that evening as always with live, ongoing coverage of the fights.
