Donald Cerrone and Nate Diaz will meet at UFC 141 this December. The bout would be the fifth this year for “Cowboy,” who defeated Dennis Siver this past weekend at UFC 137: Penn vs. Diaz.
Cerrone (17-3) has won six straight fights since a submission loss to Ben Henderson for the WEC title in 2010. He has stopped three of those six opponents by submission, including a first round rear-naked choke victory over Siver.
Diaz (14-7) defeated Takanori Gomi earlier this year at UFC 135 to halt a two-fight losing skid. He is 3-2 in his last five.
Cerrone-Diaz is expected to be part of the December 30 pay-per-view main card from Las Vegas, Nevada. The scheduled main event pits Brock Lesnar against Alistair Overeem in a No. 1 contender bout for the UFC heavyweight championship.
