Former Strikeforce heavyweight contender Brett Rogers was arrested again this past Monday after reportedly violating terms of his pre-sentencing release to not have any contact with his wife.
Rogers pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree assault last month after reaching a plea agreement stemming from a June arrest in which he was charged with multiple felonies for allegedly beating his wife. As a result of the plea, charges of domestic assault by strangulation, harassment and endangering a child will be dismissed when he is sentenced.
Rogers is scheduled to be sentenced on November 30th, and faces a maximum sentence of up to five years in prison. It is unknown if this most recent arrest will affect the sentencing.
The one-time heavyweight contender has also fallen on hard times in his professional career. After compiling a 10-fight win streak, he is 1-4 in his last five fights. Rogers most recently fought at Titan Fighting Championships 20 last month, losing to Eddie Sanchez via split decision.
