Dustin Jacoby-Brad Tavares Promoted To UFC 137 PPV

With all the changes to UFC 137 due to UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre’s knee injury, a fight between Dustin Jacoby and Brad Tavares has gained inclusion on the October 29 pay-per-view broadcast.

GSP was forced to pull out of a planned bout with Carlos Condit for his title. That moved the co-main event of BJ Penn-Nick Diaz up to the main event position and left a void in the PPV lineup. Jacoby-Tavares gets the bump from the Facebook prelims to the big show.

The changes also led to Cheick Kongo-Matt Mitrione becoming the co-main event, as the heavyweight contenders prepare to slug it out. The other PPV fights are Roy Nelson-Mirko “CroCop” Filipovic, and Hatsu Hioki-George Roop.

A pair of fights will headline the Spike TV portion, as Donald Cerrone faces Dennis Siver, and Tyson Griffin takes on Bart Palaszewski.

Four bouts remain for the Facebook prelim card, which will boast Jeff Curran vs. Scott Jorgensen, Brandon Vera vs. Eliot Marshall, Danny Downes vs. Ramsey Nijem, and Chris Camozzi vs. Francis Carmont.
