While Michael Bisping pushes for himself to become the next contender to Anderson Silva’s UFC middleweight title, fellow Ultimate Fighter coach Jason “Mayhem” Miller would like nothing more than to follow that path himself.
Bisping and Miller will meet in December at The Ultimate Fighter Finale 14 in the main event, and Miller already has a perfect finish envisioned for “The Count.”
“I would prefer (the rear-naked choke) because it’s just so intimate when you get a rear-naked choke on somebody,” said Miller at last week’s UFC Expo in Houston. “You’re behind them, and you’re like, ‘Yeah, I’m going to whisper a lullaby in your ear.’ To me, that’s awesome.”
Of Miller’s 24 career victories, 14 have come by submission. He is 3-1 with one no contest in his last five bouts. His thoughts on Silva are quite different than many others in the middleweight division.
“I think he’s a man. He bleeds the same blood that we do,” Miller said. “If you put me in front of the champion, I’ll be the champion. Just let me knock out the bloody wanker (Bisping) first.”
