In addition to remaining a perennial contender in the UFC, Kenny Florian also makes his way by frequently appearing as an analyst on ESPN MMA Live alongside Jon Anik.
Florian will be appearing opposite featherweight champion Jose Aldo in the co-main event of UFC 136 this weekend, supporting a main event between the current champ of his old home the lightweight division, Frankie Edgar, and the last man to have defeated him, Gray Maynard. At today’s UFC 136 pre-fight press conference, Florian put on his analyst’s hat and gave his take on the night’s main event, which is also a rubber match between Edgar and Maynard.
“It’s an awesome fight,” asserted Ken-Flo. “You look at that last fight and just all the drama that happened in that fight – Frankie getting dropped and then coming back like he did was unbelievable. Very, very close fight. As a fan, that’s a fight that I wanna see. Both these guys are very, very evenly matched. I’m lucky I get to go first, I’m gonna watch them fight right after me, so I can’t wait. Both these guys always come to fight and it’s going to be an unbelievable main event.”
UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard 3 will take place this Saturday, October 8, from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The fight card will also feature an intriguing middleweight tilt between Chael Sonnen and Brian Stann. FightLine will be back on the night with our live, ongoing coverage of the event.
