The UFC has added another spelling nightmare to its ranks, as Siyra Bahadurzada announced on Twitter that he has signed his contract the UFC.
Bahadurzada is a member of Golden Glory and a native of Afghanistan. Currently, he can be seen on Spike TV as a member of Jason “Mayhem” Miller’s coaching staff on The Ultimate Fighter 14. No information was released concerning a debut date or opponent.
“I signed with the UFC!” Bahadurzada wrote. “I’m very excited to be a part of the UFC and test my skills with the creme de la creme of MMA. I wanna thank the UFC and Dana White for this opportunity. I will shake up the (welterweight) division! Also special thanks to my team Golden Glory!”
Bahadurzada, who is 20-4-1 in his career and has won his last four fights by knockout, had signed a contract with Strikeforce in 2010 but never fought for the organization. He is on a six-fight win streak, which includes wins over John Alessio and Derrick Noble.
