Many people in MMA believe Brock Lesnar to be the biggest pay-per-view draw.
But, UFC President Dana White – who has access to numbers no one else really does – says it is not the former WWE superstar and heavyweight champion, instead calling UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre the top dog in terms of PPV dollars.
“Georges St-Pierre is, by far, the biggest pay-per-view star in mixed martial arts. By far. By far,” said White, in an interview with MMA Nation Wednesday. “The biggest pay-per-view star. Big. By far the biggest pay-per-view star in MMA. So, for what it’s worth, for people who want to say he’s this or that.”
GSP has turned his success in the UFC into sponsorships in both Canada and the United States. He will have a chance to expand his marketability next month when he headlines UFC 137 against Carlos Condit.
