Krzysztof Soszynski has confirmed via his Twitter account that he will return to the UFC in the coming months.
Soszynski has been out of action since defeating Mike Massenzio in June by decision, improving his record to 26-11-1 overall and 6-2 in the UFC.
“Talked to (UFC matchmaker) Joe Silva. Will know my opponent this week! Can’t wait to step into the Octagon once again! Soszynski wrote.
“The Polish Experiment” has been on the sidelines due to seventh knee operation earlier this year.
Soszynski has been training with some new partners in preparation for his return to the UFC, including Mark Munoz, Jake Ellenberger and Jason “Mayhem” Miller at Reign Training Center and King’s MMA in California.
Soszynski was not told which card he will be placed on, but, being that he fights out of Canada, a spot on UFC 140 – which takes place on December 10 from Toronto, Ontario, Canada – seems like a good bet.
“I am hoping for UFC 140 in Toronto! Will know soon, keep you all posted. What ever the bosses say, I am in!” Soszynski posted.
Currently, the UFC 140 card features Frank Mir meeting Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in a rematch, along with Tito Ortiz taking on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
