If some of the Strikeforce fighters competing on this weekend’s Strikeforce Grand Prix: Barnett vs. Kharitonov are annoyed at being overshadowed by the Nick Diaz-UFC 137 debacle, they should at least be thankful that they aren’t competing at BAMMA 7. The fight card, which features Frank Trigg, Paul Daley and Andre Winner, goes down tomorrow night at the NIA Arena in Birmingham, England — the same night as the Strikeforce show.
Between Diaz and the Strikeforce fight, hardly anyone has mentioned the BAMMA 7 event — that is until now, when Paul Daley missed weight yet again. The British slugger tipped the scaled at 176 for his welterweight bout against Jordan Radev and was forced to forfeit a percentage of his purse to his opponent in order to keep the fight. It’s the fourth time in nine bouts that Daley has weighed in heavy, someone call Mike Dolce.
