Kazuhiro Nakamura Vs. Gerald Harris On For DREAM.17 is reporting that a middleweight match up between The Ultimate Fighter 7 alum Gerald Harris and Japanese veteran Kazuhiro Nakamura has been made official for the upcoming DREAM.17 fight card.

Following his stint on TUF 7, Harris posted a three-fight winning streak in the UFC, ending all three bouts by either KO or TKO. Despite that and winning Knockout of the Night twice, Harris was released from the promotion following his next bout, which ended in a unanimous decision defeat to Maiquel Falcao. He would taste defeat again in his first post-UFC bout, dropping another UD to James Head. He recently found his way back into the win column with a unanimous decision win of his own over the 25-16 Anthony Ruiz at Tachi Palace Fights 9. Harris holds an overall record of 18-4.

Kazuhiro Nakamura spent the first seventeen fights of his career competing for the PRIDE Fighting Championships, where he faced off against notables Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (twice), Murilo Bustamante, Dan Henderson, Kevin Randleman, Wanderlei Silva, Josh Barnett and Mauricio Rua. Upon the dissolution of PRIDE, Nakamura tried his hand in the UFC, where he was defeated by Lyoto Machida and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou before being cut. A middle-of-the-road fighter, Nakamura is currently enjoying a two-fight winning streak, which balances out the two-fight skid he was on prior. He recently consecutively defeated Hidehiko Yoshida and Karl Amoussou, respectively and owns an overall record of 15-10.

DREAM.17 is scheduled to take place on September 24 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. The event may be broadcast on HDNet.
