Josh Neer Picks Up Another Win At Superior Cage Combat 2

Since being released by the UFC, Josh Neer has been on a tear.

Neer scored his sixth win in seven fights Saturday night, defeating Blas Arena by first round TKO in the main event of Superior Cage Combat 2 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

“The Dentist” is now 31-10-1 in his career and has not lost since early in 2010 to Eddie Alvarez, who is regarded as one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in Bellator.

Among the other highlights of the night was a submission win by John Gunderson who was a student under the recently deceased Shawn Tompkins. Gunderson submitted James Birdsley in the second round and said following the contest, “This was for Shawn.”
