Phil Davis is recovering right on schedule from the knee injury that forced him out of a planned main event fight against Tito Ortiz earlier this month.
Davis (9-0) posted photos and updates on his Twitter account.
“So..My dr told me to come to qualcom stadium the SD aztecs have a scrimmage, and he wanted to check my knee,” Davis wrote. “Next thing I know I’m in my spandex in front of a few thousand people getting my knee checked! Why did I agree to this!?”
“Mr Wonderful” did post some good news for fight fans, though.
“The good news out of this is that he said I’m healing up on schedule. I’ll be posting videos of my pt training soon. stay tuned,” the former Penn State University standout wrote.
It is being reported that Davis is in talks to face former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida at UFC 140 in December.
