MMAJunkie.com has compiled the full list of medical suspensions handed down by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services’ to the fighters who competed this past weekend at UFC Live: Hardy vs. Lytle.
The event, which went down at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, delivered a host of exciting fights and memorable upsets; thirteen of the fighters who put their bodies on the line to put on the show have been suspended.
Dan Hardy, Ben Henderson, Charles Oliveira, Jim Hettes, Alex Caceres, Cole Miller and Jason Reinhardt were all hit with thirty day suspensions. Hardy, Oliveira, Caceres and Reinhardt were issued theirs for precautionary reasons only. Henderson injured his left elbow and must get an X-ray before he’ll be allowed to compete again. Hettes was suspended for a laceration to his head and Miller for an injury to his right hand.
Jim Miller, Amir Sadollah, Duane Ludwig, CB Dollaway, Kyle Noke and TJ O’Brien were issued indefinite suspensions pending physicians’ clearance. Miller must undergo a neurological exam and CT scan in order to receive clearance for a head injury. Sadollah must undergo the same for the same reason, as was his opponent Duane Ludwig, though Ludwig must also clear an X-ray for a knee injury. CB Dollaway also suffered a head injury and has to undergo a neurological exam and CT scan as well. Noke will have to undergo an MRI to survey damage done to his left knee before receiving clearance and O’Brien will need general clearance for rib and leg injuries.
