Krzysztof Soszynski, a semifinalist on The Ultimate Fighter, is expected to be ready to return to the Octagon in December following a seventh surgery on his knees.
Soszynski (26-11-1 MMA, 6-2 UFC) has been told by his doctor that he has the knees of a 60-year-old man following all the years of wear and tear on his body from fighting, both as a mixed martial artist and as a professional wrestler.
While no fight has been confirmed by Soszynski or the UFC, the 33-year-old has told officials he will be ready in December for anyone.
The light-heavyweight said he hasn’t felt right since his slugfest with Stephan Bonnar at UFC 110, forcing him to shy away from his wrestling game during preparation and fights, and work towards more of a brawling style. Soszynski has won his previous two fights, though, despite the change in attack.
Soszynski tore his meniscus and had a cyst form on his knee, which made him finally succumb to another doctor visit.
But, it hasn’t been all bad news for the chiseled fighter, as he can be seen in the upcoming Kevin James comedy centered on MMA, which recently completely filming. He was also cast as Mickey Rourke’s stunt double in “The Immortals.”
