Fight Round-Up: Hathaway Vs. Krauss, Escovedo Vs. Mizugaki, Nunes Vs. Gamburyan

* British welterweight John Hathaway (15-1) announced on his Twitter that he will be facing undefeated Pascal Krauss (10-0) at UFC 138 on November 5th in Birmingham, England.

Since scoring an upset unanimous decision victory over Diego Sanchez at UFC 114 in May of 2010, Hathaway has split decisions, losing a unanimous decision to Mike Pyle at UFC 120 last October, while winning a split-decision in his last outing at UFC Fight Night in March. Krauss is coming off of a victory in his UFC debut, defeating Mark Scanlon via unanimous decision at UFC 122 last November.

* The UFC announced an intriguing battle between featherweights Diego “The Gun” Nunes (16–2) and The Ultimate Fighter 5 finalist Manny Gamburyan (11-6) for UFC 135 on September 24 in Denver, Colorado. Nunes is coming off of a high profile loss to Kenny Florian via unanimous decision at UFC 131 last month, after winning his UFC debut with a split-decision victory over Mike Brown at UFC 125 in January. Gamburyan is coming off of a majority-decision loss to Tyson Griffin at UFC Live last month.

* Also announced for UFC 135 is a scrap between bantamweights Cole Escovedo (17-7) against Takeya Mizugaki (14-6-2). Both fighters are coming off of recent losses. Escovedo suffered a unanimous decision loss to Renan Barão in his Octagon debut at UFC 130 in May, while Mizugaki is coming off of a loss via unanimous decision to Brian Bowles at UFC 132 earlier this month.
