Jon Fitch Tired Of Being Skipped Over And Ignored

Since losing to UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre in a bid for the title in 2008, longtime contender Jon Fitch has gone 5-0-1, with his most recent outing resulting in a draw against former champion BJ Penn.

Though he expected to face Penn in a rematch upon his return from injury layoff sometime this fall, Fitch’s recovery has taken longer than expected and, as a result, “The Prodigy” has been paired against the surging Carlos Condit. Sitting on the sidelines while his peers at the top of the division (see: Jake Shields, Jake Ellenberger, Penn, Condit, St-Pierre, Nick Diaz) square off to further their positions at 170lbs., the former Purdue Boilermaker is feeling kinda pissed.

“I’m irritated. I’m pissed off,” Fitch recently told “I wanna hurt some people. I wanna finish a lot of people and I wanna do it in style. I’m tired of being skipped over and I’m tired of being ignored, and it’s time for me to make some noise.”
